Regents Park is a suburb immediately south of Brisbane. The suburb is approximately 5 km² in area, 12% of which is taken up by five parks.

Regents Park was originally part of Browns Plains. It was subdivided for residential housing in the early 1980s. The name Regents Park was proposed by the land developer.

Yugumbir State School opened on 28 January 1986. Regents Park State School opened on 1 January 1994.



There are three schools in Regents Park:


Yugumbir State School, a government primary school, is located on Vansittart Road. The name 'Yugumbir' is an Aboriginal word for the district.

Regents Park State School, a government primary school, is located on Emerald Drive.

St Bernardine's School, a Roman Catholic primary school, is located at 25 Vergulde Road.



Logan West Library is located in Grand Plaza Drive, Browns Plains near Grand Plaza. Other Logan City Council libraries not far away are in Greenbank and Marsden. Visit the LCC Library Page for more information.

There are three weekend markets near Regents Park:


Woodridge Train Station Markets

Every Sunday 6 am - 12 noon, Croydon Road, Woodridge (opposite the Woodridge train station)

A traditional multicultural fresh produce street market, easily accessible by train

Logan Central Markets

Every Sunday 6 am - 12 noon, Logan Central Plaza, Wembley Road, Logan Central

Browns Plains Markets

First & third Saturday of every month, mornings, showgrounds at the corner of Browns Plains and Waller Roads.



The suburb of Regents Park was created out of the continuing growth of nearby Browns Plains - one of the fastest growing areas of Logan City - with the burgeoning suburb split into two smaller suburbs, Heritage and Regents Park. Located next to Browns Plains is the exclusive suburb of Forestdale which has properties worth up to two million dollars, ensuring the area around Browns Plains is one of the most desirable suburbs within the Logan Shire and this is reflected in its vibrant property market. Regents Park is set in leafy surrounds and has a mix of old and new homes. Many are brick and tile with the newer homes rendered. Both low-set and high-set homes can be found in the suburb.

The area has children's playgrounds and quiet cul-de-sacs, making Regents Park popular with young families. There is one established housing estate in Regents Park which offers affordable house and land. A new development, Regents Heights Estate, is family-friendly and is in the early stages of development. The Browns Plains area is progressive and fully developed with almost every facility and service available locally. These include train and bus services, cinemas, a skating rink, emergency services and schools. There is also a major shopping centre called the Grand Plaza which features hundreds of specialty shops. Regents Park has two shopping areas, the Regency Plaza and the Regency Park Shopping Centre, as well. Browns Plains is also home to one of Queensland's biggest RSL Clubs - The Greenbank RSL
